AITA is a Baltimore-based, high-energy pop-punk band that burst onto the scene in September 2023. With an irresistible blend of attitude and charm, AITA delivers songs that resonate with meaning and purpose, all while keeping the energy high and the vibes positive. Fresh off opening for Fitz and the Tantrums and clinching a Battle of the Bands victory, AITA has just wrapped up their debut 13-song album, ‘Promises,’ on January 1st, 2025.
Formed in the vibrant streets of Baltimore in 2023, AITA emerged from a shared vision between Josh Bosse, drummer, and Patricia Bryan Ramónwho believed in the power of music to connect and inspire. Drawing from their respective relationships with the form of expression, Josh and Patricia sought to find a group of musicians who shared the same passion, need, and drive. It wasn’t long before the duo became a band of 4, welcoming Elijah Busse on the guitar, and, as the last name suggests, Justin Kuhl in the bass! United by their love for pop punk and a flair for dynamic performances, the band quickly found its voice with an irresistible blend of melody, energy, and lyrical depth.
Their chemistry was undeniable, and the music community took notice. Early gigs in local venues were packed with fans eager to experience AITA’s raw and engaging shows. Each performance was not just a set of songs but a rally of emotional energy and determinant grit, resonating deeply with a growing fanbase.
The name ‘AITA’ became synonymous with a fresh wave in pop-punk, characterized by fast-paced rhythms and heartfelt lyrics that both challenged and mimicked life’s complexities. As they honed their craft, their music evolved into a unique sound that promised to carry them far beyond Baltimore’s music scene.
A FORMATIVE YEAR
The band, then known as Lollipunx, made a notable entrance into the music scene. Their early performances showcased a raw, passionate style that quickly captured the attention of fans and industry insiders. Their first gig together was broadcasted on national news (although they didn’t know it at the time) and by their 3rd gig, they managed to open for internationally-touring band, Fitz and the Tantrums.
The year was spent building a strong foundation, with each member bringing their unique influences to forge a distinctive sound that resonated with a growing fanbase.
Their dynamic presence and genuine connection with the audience set the stage for a promising future. It was a year of learning, evolving, and preparing for the next big step—recording their first major project.
EVOLUTION & ANTICIPATION
In 2024, embracing their new identity as AITA, the band entered the studio to record ‘Promises.’ This year was transformative, as they not only recorded their debut album but also refined their sound and message, preparing to make a significant impact on the wider music world.
The name change to AITA marked a new chapter of maturity and clarity in their musical journey. As the year progressed, anticipation built around their upcoming album, with fans eagerly awaiting the release. AITA also deepened their community engagement, solidifying their role not just as musicians but as influential voices in their community.
Now an established name in the pop punk scene, AITA has launched a new year with a higher-tear of drive and determination: expand beyond home-base and become a nationally recognized name.
